I am first time fondant cake decorating. So far have gone really well. Doing superman emblem but can't work out how to get the red S onto the cake??? keeps stretching or breaking ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I would use gumpaste. You can use a 50/50 mix or add tylose to the fondant. Gum paste doesn't stretch like fondant. Hope that helps!

You could also try maybe rolling out your fondant a little thicker. My exprience has been that it stretches when I roll too thin.
