I have an upcoming cake to do: drawing a silhouette of a
dancing couple in black--the male is in a tux and
the female's dress is represented by small drawings
of spirals and dots. Help, please. How do I even
start this? How do I create a nose, mouth, profile with just
a tip and icing? Can't use a stencil that touches the cake
top. Any suggestions?

I did a disco theme a while back and googled dancing people images. Found some I liked and printed them off and cut around them. Lay them on rolled out fondant/gumpaste and cut around them with my exacto knife and let them dry. They turned out alot better than I thought they would.

FBCT? Gel transfer & pipe over the lines? Put image on rice paper (edible image printer, draw with edible marker, or use a stencil), cut out and apply to cake surface?

I did what Shelly4481 did, it work great and the cuts were very neat and clean, I cut a bunch of people and the left ones I store them! regards! icon_smile.gif
