Is amaretto a flavor that people with nut allergies need to stay away from?

Well, Amaretto is an Italian sweet almond-flavoured liqueur. It is made from a base of apricot or almond pits, or sometimes both. I would check the ingredients in whatever form of amaretto you are using.

For instance, the Amaretto liquer - name brand Disaronno Originale, their Amaretto contains no almonds, and is nut-free according to their website.

If however, you are talking about the Amaretto coffee creamer, I would check the ingredients listing to make sure it's not made from nuts. Otherwise, I wouldn't chance it.

Hope that helps!!
