Why do my fondant cakes always bulge at the seam between layers and how can I prevent it? They always looks fine when I finish, but by the next morning the weight of the cake has caused the bulge.

You need to let the cakes settle before covering them. Leah_s puts a weight on hers, I just wrap and let mine set overnight.
Have you been allowing them to settle before covering them?
