Hi! I would like to make a cake where the actual cake part is blue. Has anyone tried this? Is there something that you have found that would work?

Thanks!

Blue food coloring in the batter. If you're using the watery store-bought stuff, you may need to include it as part of your liquid measurement.

I just made some blue cupcakes last week and they looked great. I used 1/2 Tblsp. Royal Blue paste or gell color and just a touch of violet. It gave me a "Denim" like color, it was beautiful !!

Thanks! Is this the same gel color that you would use to color the icing? Love the idea of the denim color!
