Hello, everyone!
I am really curious, How much do you charge for regular (no-filling) cupcakes with buttercream? Are cupcakes more expensive than a cake serving? Thanks!

My cupcakes start at $2.50 each basic buttercream swirl and go up from there depending on embellishments. They are about the same as a serving of cake.

I charge $2 each, $10 for half dz and $18 for dz for basic buttercream 1M swirl. I charge a flat 10% increase for filling. I live in a city of about 100,000+ in Iowa and it seems like some people think that's a little expensive for cupcakes because they are so used to walmart and hy vee(its our local grocery store) charge much cheaper. But I think i'm going to stick with my prices because soon people will know that my cupcakes and cakes are wayyy better than anything you can buy at walmart, target, hy vee, etc

I charge $1 each (this is a standard cupcake size, not large or jumbo cc's)

To put into perspective I charge $2.50/serv. for tiered cakes and $1.50/serv. for non tiered cakes

Swirl & sprinkle is $2 per cupcake
Swirl, sprinkle & regular filling is $2.25 per cupcake
Regular buttercream cake, single or tiered, starts at $2.50 per serving

A cupcake is a serving of cake, however based on my labor costs a basic cupcake takes less time than a serving of basic cake so my pricing reflects that.

Regular cupcakes are $2 each, mini-cupcakes $1 each, we have minimum orders of one dozen regular cupcakes and 2 dozen minis (we do custom orders only, no retail shop). Fillings are 50 cents extra for regular cupcakes.

Egg-free or vegan cupcakes are also $2 each. Gluten-free cupcakes (containing eggs) are $2.50 each, gluten-free/vegan are $2.75 each, and gluten-free/vegan/soy-free are $3 each.

We use 2"x1.25" baking cups for cupcakes. Our prices per serving on regular BC cakes varies, from ~$4/serving for our smallest cake down to $2.40/serving for our largest (for regular or vegan cakes, GF and other allergen-free cakes are priced higher).

This is very helpful to me, as well! I have an order for 75 with a fondant letter on each. I wasn't sure how to go about pricing. Thanks for posting this question.
