does anyone have a really good lime margarita cake recipe that they wouldn't mind sharing?my mother in laws birthday is coming up and she loves margaritas every once in awhile so i thought a margarita cake would be perfect for her.... thanks in advance =)

Hi there is a recipe for Margarita Cupcakes here on CC. I have not tried it as a cake- but it does make good cupcakes. Good Luck!

I am still tweaking mine but I'll tell you my lastest version. It's an adaptation of the WASC. Use 1c of margarita mixer (liquid kind) Jose Cuervo is my favorite. Add tequila and triple sec to total 1/3c. Use lime juice instead of flavorings. Here's the trick. The flavors develop as the cake "ages". If you bake it a few days before you need it the flavors will get better. Found this out by having the cake hang around for a week before it was gone.
