Wondering how you figure what size a grooms cake should be. I will be making my sons grooms cake toward the end of August. Hunting/fishing theme, 300 people, yes there is a wedding cake. Would appreciate some help! thanks!!

Usually the total number of servings is split between the two cakes. So if the guest list is 300 and the wedding cake serves 250 then the groom's cake should serve 50. If the wedding cake is large enough to serve all the guests than it doesn't matter how big the groom's cake is.
