This is my first time making cupcakes. I have a silicone muffin pan, which will be my first time using silicone. Am I still supposed to use liners for the cupcakes? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Yes, use liners. That way, once the cupcakes are taken out of the silicone pan, they will still have the paper liner on them. That is how most people expect to see and eat cupcakes--in their own individual liners.
