My daughter has given me quite the task for her bday. Needless to say I haven't decorated a cake since High School. (10 Years) She want's a rabbit coming out of a hat. I decided to do cupcakes and I'm making the bunnies out of fondant. My question is, can the fondant be stored in an air tight container? This is my practice run adn the bunnies aren't looking to bad. ( I just have a ball for their body)

Thanks for any help.

You can store unused fondant in a ziploc bag, and then put in a container, to prevent drying out. If you are making the bunnies ahead of time, you can leave them out.

I store fondant in a plastic bag in a sealed container. Once my figures are complete, I store on a paper plate in a cupboard to keep them from fading from sunlight. Here's a tutorial for you on bunnies.
