Ever had a cake commission that you've been really excited about; designed a GORGEOUS cake; bride to be loved it went ahead with the order.... and only THEN do you think "how on earth am I going to pull that off?"

LOL!!

This is the dress that the bride will be wearing:

(if you click on it, you get an ever closer look at the detail)

And I have to recreate the beads and sequins going in a cross cross down all 4 tiers.

In my mind, this cake is going to be STUNNING. I just hope that the message doesn't get lost between head and hands!!! icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif

I'm planning on doing it with royal icing and tiny dragees - I think. Then edible pearl lustre.

Have you looked at the cakes you make! You can totally do this one! You do such clean work, and that is what it is going to take for your criss cross. I think the Bride picked the perfect person to do her cake! Keep us all posted!

Thank you.

I'm just excited, but nervous, I suppose.

The cake isn't until the second week of September, so a little while yet.

I will, of course, post a picture when it's done.
