My cakes keep "rippling" . I put as little icing as i can make sure my cakes have time to settle and are at room temp then I cover in fondant but after a day they keep rippling on the sides! What am i doing wrong?

by rippling, do you mean they are bulging at the sides where they are filled? do you have a pic?
