I am making a tiered cake that will be 2 feet tall. I want to have a center dowel that runs through all the layers. Where can I find a 2 feet tall dowel rod? The tallest I have found are 1 foot.

Any hardware store. They come in 36" and 48" lengths. They may cut it for you, if you ask, or you can cut them, it's not that hard.

Michaels in the wood section.

Lowe's has them, and they can also cut to the size you need.
