i need to make a keg cake and i am not really sure how to go about doing it. any help would be appreciated. icon_biggrin.gif

how are you trying to make it? Can you maybe put a visual. are you talking about the silver metal barrel?

well, here's a drawing I did long ago for a keg in a tub

just lots of layers stacked and carved.

could drop the tub and just add two more layers to make a keg.

for just a keg: say 2 8" then 2 10" and then 2 8" and carve to get the classic shape. (or for less servings: 1 8", then 2 10" and then 1 8")

cover in fondant. Add horizontal ribs and rim at top. Paint or airbrush whole thing sliver. Add a little tap on top

and if in wicked mood, someone laying on ground as beer pours into mouth?
