I need to make a teddy and im going to use sugarpaste but i have been told to add something to it so it makes it go hard quicker can someone tell me what this is called as i have forgotten.

You can add tylose, cmc, or gum tex (all powders) to create modeling paste (gum paste) to sugarpaste (rolled fondant).

You can also add gum tragacanth, but you need to let the paste rest for 24 hrs. before using it. With the other powders, you can work the paste right away.
