Hi,

I made some mini fondant books, apples, pencils (school theme) which will go on cupcakes. The person is picking them up on Wednesday morning and I will be icing them on Tuesday. Is it alright for me to put the fondant items on the cupcake and leave it overnight? Will it become gooey?

I'm wondering about this, too.

i have had this happen to me on more than one occasion. The problem is if the container is air tight. it causes the fondant to pull the moisture out of the icing. Finally i tried leaving a crack in the container to let air circulate. also, I let the icing crust before placing the accents on. hopes this helps.
