Ok Now i know alot of you work with fondant and gumpaste, heres my question, whats the realy difference between fondant and gumpaste, Can you use gumpaste like fondant Meaning , (Can you cover the whole cake weith gunmppaste like you would cover it with fondant? or cover the whoel cake with modeling chocolate. i dont understand much about fonadant or gumpasste , or modeling chocolate but i see Cake boss use all 3 alot of the time and i really want to work with modeling chocolate LOL

No you cannot cover an entire cake with gumpaste. Gumpaste dries super hard and is made for making flowers, decorations and figures. It also doesn't taste very good. Modeling chocolate can be used the same as gumpaste AND can also be used to cover a cake. thumbs_up.gif

Oh so Modeling chocolate can be used as a fondant , to cover a cake did i get that correct ?
