Will Melted Sugar Or Isomalt Items Melt?

I have little experience with this so I apologize if this is a stupid question. I wanted to melt some isomalt and color it with rainbow colors for an added effect to a cake that would have to stand up. Would this start to droop or melt? If so, can this be prevented? Thank you!

Yes, they will melt. Heat and humidity will cause problems.. They are a real challenge in the summer months. Poured sugar more so than isomalt.. hth
