I know of 3 brands of airbrush dyes (AKA: "airbrush colors"), there are probably more. Is one brand recommended over another?

I have done airbrush using stencils for Temporary Airbrushing Tattoos. Using these ink you can blend colors; such as you can spray yellow on blue and get green. You can spray red on blue to get purple. That way you don't have to purchase an entire palette of colors. Is this the same way with the dyes for cake decorating?
