I am making a guitar cake and want to make shiny silver accents. Will Pearl Dust work on the fondant and also should I color it over white fondant or color the fondant gray first? Also will it leave a bad taste on the fondant? Thanks

The most realistic looking "metal" is achieved by coloring the fondant grey and then using a mix of silver pearl/luster dust and vodka that's been made into a "paint". This makes the fondant really look like silver and doesn't add any taste to the fondant. HTH. Cat
