Looks a lot like tip 1M. I do large swirls with it a lot - but they don't necessarily come out like that - but I'm more going for height. I think it could make this if not something very close.

hi, some people use a 1M tip. others say they use the 2 D. You start in the middle, using your wrist only, and pipe to the edge of cupcake. some start at the edge and go to the middle. I start in the middle, using my wrist motion only. So try both ways and both tips. You will hear other say different ways they do it. hth

Just pipe a rosette on the top of the cupcake with Tip 1M. Start in the middle making a star and then lift slightly moving the tip while piping from one side, to top, to opposite side, to bottom, and back to starting side, then stop piping while continuing to move the tip around to the top to pull the icing in the circular motion to finish it off. Sorry - that just seems confusing. I am finding it hard to put in to words tonight. Too little sleep in the past 24 hours.

I think the 2D tip will give you that look, whereas the 1M looks a little different. But the wrist motion is what's important! Start in the middle, swirl out. icon_smile.gif

Good luck!

AAAAAnd...then if you want it to look MORE like a rose, pipe tip 125 petals around the edge.

I use tip 1M. Start in the center and go around to finish at the edge of the cupcake. Turn your wrist as you pipe to make a nice rose.

I want to attach a picture but I don't know how to do it. Sorry icon_sad.gif
