What sort of coloring are you using? I just squirt it in til I get the color I want, I dont measure. If you are using the wilton jars of paste coloring they have pooh bear gold and egg gold. If you want the same shade every time just eyeball how much you use...ie: I use my tapered spatula and just put a tiny bit on the end so say for example the size of a grain of rice, pea or a lima bean. I hope thats what you meant...

I'm using paste color but only have yellows, red and orange colors to work with. using a tapered spatula is a good idea. Thanks so much. I will give it a try!
