Can someone tell me what I need to do to put working lights into a car (hopefully a tutorial) and also what items can I need to buy.

TickeyT, there are lots of options. The easiest I found was to use the light-up rings (you can find them in party supply stores, or in the wedding supply section at Michaels). You just twist the "diamond" part of the ring to light it up, wrap the bottom part in plastic wrap (to keep it from touching the cake) and push it into the cake. I used this method on the fire engine cake in my photos. Very quick and easy.
