I am making a cake that needs to have a sand volley ball court and a net....does anyone have any good ideas on how to make the net with out using fondant or gunpaste? I looked for some ideas on here, but didn't see any volleyball nets???!!!!

I was thinking of using chicko (sp?) sticks with taffy wrapped around that.......anyone got any other creative ideas! I am not so creative when it comes to stuff like this! LOL!!

TIA!!

What about royal icing for the net? Then attach the net to pretzels?

I did try to use fondant for a 3D volleyball net and it broke apart. Sugar veil is the best way to go for a project like that. I have also heard about success with flexible RI. There are several tutorials on here on sugar veil. Good luck!
