Hello, I'm new to cake baking and decorating, I recently found this wonderful site and joined.

In April and May I took baking and fondant courses but as of yet have not taken a flower making class, as I'm waiting for one to be available.
On my own with what I've read and seen in videos, I attempted to make some flowers for the first time last night.
I used a small piece, about 3x3x1 of fondant into which I kneaded in about 1/2 teaspoon of Tylose powder. I made some orchids and lay them on cotton to dry, and made some buds on wires to dry to make roses today.

This morning they do not look like they are drying and appear to be sticky and wet. Also I live in a tropical and humid climate and it has been raining.

Should I just wait patiently or did I do something wrong? I would so appreciate any advice as to what it might be.

Thank you very much!
