It seems like a strange question but I was wondering if the meringue buttercreams crust like the american bc?
no.... SMBC and IMBC do not crust.....u can fridge to get them hard enough to add fondant...
Sadly they don't IMBC it's my favorite !! but like dalis4joe said, you can refrigerate it for about 10 min at a time and put under fondant (thin layer) or to smooth with out with a hot spatula, there is a method here called the Upside Down Method, I use it for my IMBC cakes and it's awesome.
