How do you make baby blocks or minicakes like the cake NoahLilli did? (I don't know how to do a link, sorry!)?

When I did it, I just made a sheetcake and cut small squares to the size I wanted. Then I stacked and filled those and covered with fondant and decorated.

Thanks Melissa! Did you use a cookie cutter or something? I am just worried I won't be able to get it perfectly square. Also, I am thinking of covering them in poured fondant. What do you think about that idea?

Sorry, I was away from my computer for a while (bunch of cakes last week!) I just used a knife and a ruler to measure it. If you have a cookie cutter big enough i'm sure you could use that but it was easier with the knife. Poured fondant should be fine. The only problem I've ever had with it is if your cake isn't perfectly smooth, the fondant won't be either. Maybe do a light crumb coat of bc then the poured fondant over it. Good luck. Let me know how it turns out. Post pics!
