I have a wedding cake coming up, and it has hand cut applicades. I would like to do these ahead of time and keep in a zip lock bag. I'm talking several weeks ahead. I have so many to do, that I would like to do them a little at a time. I was wondering if they would stay soft doing it this way, or if there is a better way to store them. thanks

I do this quite often. You want them to be in a single layer or they will stick together. I lay mine on a large cookie sheet lined with wax paper and cover with plastic wrap. You'll also want to keep them where light doesn't fade your colors.
