I hope someone can answer this question for me. I made whipped ganache to use in between the layers. I am making a chocolate buttercream for the outside of the cake. Will the ganache melt? I am travelling about 1 1/2 hours and I don't want my cake to melt. Any input would be appreciated.

I use it all the time and don't have any problem with it melting. I also live in Arkansas where it's hot and humid most of the time. Well, nine months out of the year anyway.

It will be fine.

This may be a bit late but I used whipped ganache and often travel that far with my cakes without a problem. You should be fine. Hope it all works (or worked) out OK!

Hi
I just noticed responses about the whipped ganache. I chickened out! I used the same chocolate buttercream in between layers as I used on the outside of the cake. It was reallly good. Thanks for the replies, I will definitely try this though!
