Hi, I have some questions about the cricut cake.
Can I cut letters using the basic cakes cartidge??
Can I resize the shapes??
What's the biggest and/or smallers size?
DO I need special software? If I do, is it expensive?
It's obvious I've never used a scrapbooking cutter before, any kind, any maker.....
Can anyone help me?
You might want to try the official cricut cake forums for basic questions about their product.
I've spent the last hour and a half on those forums, and found nothing to help me...
Anyone???
Solicito, I will try to address your questions...
Can I cut letters using the basic cakes cartidge??
Yes there is an upper and lower case alpha on the Cake basics cart, incl nu
mbers. Also some standard phrases, then all sorts of shapes.
Can I resize the shapes?? Yes, the machine will go from 1/4" to 23.5". PC recommends 3" or more, but many of us are successfully getting smaller cuts with some mediums.
What's the biggest and/or smallers size?
See above.
DO I need special software? If I do, is it expensive?
You do not need special software. You can use cartridges if you buy them. There are two software programs available that allow you to expand beyond cartridges, and thus be unique! They are easy to figure out and use if you are comfortable with programs like PrintShop or a cardmaking program. If you choose to use software, it is about the price of one cartridge.
Thank you so much!!
I'm saving for one, I just want to be sure of all the things I can do with it, and if I'll need to save even more for carts, software, and such.
Thanks again!!
