I want to get like a shiny, goldish and silver look on my fondant. I have the Wilton pack of 3 shimmer dust (gold, silver and white). Will that kinda give me the look I want? (It doesnt have to be metallic looking-just a little shiny.) If so-what's the best way to apply it to fondant? I heard brush the surface with water then paint on.
Or would pearl dust be better to do what I want? Same thing with Pearl-how do I use it? THANKSicon_smile.gif

It really depends on the look you are going for. The shimmer dusts are thicker in texture than the pearl dusts. Personally I like the pearl dusts for most things.

Shimmer dusts you have to wet the surface and sprinkle on. Pearl dusts are brushed on, either dry for a light subtle look or wet (mixed with extract or alcohol) for a more vibarant look.
