I have read rave reviews on this site about the Planet Cake book. I researched it online and found a good site that told me a lot about it and displayed a lot of pages. I did find a lot of pages not displayed which is to be expected but are these pages full of cake pictures, for example pages 58-120?

I love this book...

Pages 58 - 65 have lots of tips/how-tos, like....making a zipper, making a bow, frilling, mending torn icing, cleaning stained icing...and lots more...

Pages 66 - 89 are filled with the cutest cupcake photos and instructions...

Pages 90 - 111 showcase round cake designs - photos and instructions...

After that are the square cakes, and that goes beyond pg. 120.

Has anyone tried the recipes in this book? I just bought this book and LOVE it but was wondering if the cakes tasted any good. Anyone know?

Ballymena,

If you don't mind sharing, did you find this at Amazon or elsewhere? I've been thinking about buying it, too, but it's expensive at Amazon.

Thanks,
Kathi

I ordered it from Amazon but they were out of stock and can't get it anymore. I am bought on ebay, you can get it from the UK without a shipping charge. I paid 24.37 Cdn.

I ordered this book on April 12 off of Ebay and I am still waiting for it.
It turns out the book is coming from the UK and with the volcano it is delayed (so they say).

The kicker is there was no indication on the auction that it was coming from overseas. The location on the auction said Texas. I would have bought it elsewhere had I known it was coming from overseas for this very reason. I did not want to have to wait this long or longer seeing how I have no idea when it will show up.

So if you order it off of eBay just be sure to get clarification on where it is coming from.

Mine said it was from the UK right on the main listing. I'm not in a panic for it but will post when I get it.

It took forever for me to get my copy. I ordered from Amazon and it did not say it was coming from overseas... took about a month to get it. I ordered it 3 weeks before I was out of town for 2 months.. Came in when I was gone so I didn't get to see my book for 3 months after ordering. That is my only complaint though
