I'm making a Harvey Davidson cake and want to use chocolate MMF. What is the best way to get it super dark?

I made black fondant for my nephew's cake a couple of weeks ago. I made Michele Foster's Chocolate Fondant using semi-sweet chocolate chips and added black food coloring to the liquid before adding the powdered sugar. I'm sure you can do the same when making MMF. Just add the black food coloring to your marshmallows before adding the p.s.

Use Hershey's dark chocolate cocoa and then add black coloring. It takes a lot less coloring if you use the Hershey's dark.

Don't use Wilton's Black... use Chefmaster... it's stronger and you won't need to add as much as wilton to get the color

I personally always have a 2 lb tub of SI in red and in black..... it's very challenging to get a dark color on homemade fondant.... I tried to do red once and used all the reds I had (like 3 diffrent ones.... including no taste red) and still only got dark pink... so I never bothered again....

Good Luck
