I have left over Butter Cream frosting, I made it the Wilton way, No mike or anything. Should I put it in the frig or will it stay good on the counter. It is in a snap lid case? I have to make a cake this Wenesday and the frosting was made, Saturday.

Thanks

The BC is safe to leave out on the counter and will still be good for Wed

Even if you would have used milk, it would still have been okay to leave out.

Also, I normally rewhip the frosting since it is the crusting type of BC

You can actually leave the Wilton recipe buttercream out, in an air tight container, for a couple of months. Like pp said, be sure to re-whip before using.

I make Indydebi's and leave it out for a couple of weeks at a time. I do rewhip when I get around to using it. But buttercream will keep very nicely w/o refrigeration for quite some time.
