Help I Need Gold Frosting For Cookies??

I'm making sheriff badge cookies and need them to be gold. I want to use butter cream frosting how do I get it gold??? I was thinking frosting them yellow and after the butter cream crusts paint them with gold dust and vodka?? Help I have 100 cookies to make and don't have a clue!! Thanks icon_smile.gif

how about a gold lustre spray? or a gold paint but the spray faster as you have 100!!

I think your best bet would be fondant painted with luster dust...

I have painted gold on dried royal icing and dried glace. Not so sure how well it will work on BC. It does show up better if the base is a golden brown.

What she said. I think it creates a clean finish and fondant makes decorating cookies so much easier.
