Hello fellow CCrs. I have a small dilemma and would like some advice.
I decided to take a Small Business Management course at our local community college. I have to turn in a Small Business Plan for my final project, and of course I decided to do my business plan for my home based bakery. I am however having a difficult time gathering information as far as industry info and how to do my financials. I have spoken to our City Zoning and Planning administrator and have the info for my home based business and the licensing requirement.

I do have my class notes and text book, however, I cant apply my home based business concept to the things we have learned. I have also looked online, and have seen many templates, but I still cant piece it together. I was just wondering if someone can give me info on how they gathered their information for their home based bakery business plan.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Denise

cost of wedding.com to see what wedding cakes go for in your area.

http://www.census.gov/ This will take some playing around and you'll probably have to go with bakeries for the NCIS code

http://articles.bplans.com/running-an-online-business/your-online-competitive-analysis for general info

http://www.mindbranch.com/Gourmet-Specialty-Foods-R567-459/ market information for gourmet and specialty foods info

https://www.aibonline.org/resources/statistics/cake.html for cake stats

http://www.bplans.com/dessert_bakery_business_plan/market_analysis_summary_fc.cfm for a sample bakery biz plan

I just did a feasibility study for a college paper. icon_smile.gif
I hope these help. If the links don't come through, I can try PM'ing them to you.
