Does anyone know how to do the fondant appliques/designs/detailing on a fondant covered cake? I'd love to do them but not sure if I'm doing it right or not. I've just been printing off the design and cutting it out. Is there another way? Do you know of anywhere you can get the designs?
Any help would be great!
Here is a picture of something that I'm thinking of using as an idea.

It could be a stencil but I'm not sure...Global Sugar Art sells these four-tiered stenciling sets (and also single stencils) but I can't tell if that was what was done on the picture.

I have a black and red cake in my photos that I stenciled two of the tiers....
