When you make these ahead of time, how long are they good for and what is the proper storage for them since you don't put them in the frig?

I have royal flowers I made to practice with and put them on bubble wrap in plastic storage boxes . Some have been there a year and they look and taste(have to try once in a while) just the same as when they were fresh.
