Elephant Skin On My Cake???

I hate elephant skin but alway seem to get it when doinf a topsey turvey. It is so bad... Is there a way to fix/hide it? Icing tinted or crisco and sugar tinted??? Just guessing. DOes anyone know. I can hide some w/decorations but the rest is going to show. Can anyone help my elephant skin problem???

I don't think there is any way to fix the elephant skin after the fact. The fondant is just too dry either from exposure or too much powdered sugar used when kneading/rolling. Sorry!

Sugarshack shows in her video to rub the elephant skin with crisco. I hate it icon_sad.gif

thanks so much. WHich video do u think is the besst. I saw a few by her - Perfect BC and perfect fondant. Is there on that says SS on the front. It just said by the woman from S Sack. Thanks.
