I'm having problems thinking of or finding any ideas for an 80's themed cake. My problem can't be a tiered cake, and it must be (mostly) butter cream. Can be square, round or rectangle. Anyone have any ideas other than a rubiks cube or packman???? Help!

My friends hubby just had a surprise 80's bday party, and his cake was a cassette tape, with _____'s 30th birthday mix. It was really cute!

How about breakdancers around your cake or a cake in the shape of a boom box-very 80's. HTH

I think a sheet cake painted to look like stonewashed denim with some rubics cubes, cassette tapes, Rayban sunglasses, etc laying around it would be cool.

Oh man.. all the teenage memories that came back with this question....

boombox
MTV (when it was good)
The Big Hair Bands....rock on..
cassettes
punk hair
leg warmers !!
stone wash jeans
glitter t-shirts with "material girl" on them
mall rats !!
and most importantly.... THE BELTS.. do you guys remember the crazy belts. I still have one saved icon_redface.gif

For the 80's ..any crazy design you come up with will work.
