I am planning to have my own cake shop (a small one to start) in the future. I am wondering on how much rent do you pay every month for your space and how big is the cake shop?

Is it important to have a space that has a lot of foot traffic? How much money do you have to come up with to start up a cake shop? They don't allow selling cakes at home in our area.

Is it good to buy used equipments? Is it possible to run the cake shop with just 2 people working on it?

Thank you, any opinions will be appreciated.

Price per sq ft is wholly dependent on your area and location (a store front on Rodeo Driver in Beverly Hills will be a lot more to rent than a store front the same size in Norfolk, Nebraska - get my drift?) icon_lol.gif

Buying used equipment, as long as it is clean and in good working order should not be a problem, to the best of my knowledge.

As far as the other questions, it depends on what kind of shop you want to set up.
