The show cake he did, the white one with doves,well any one know what he used (or Rylan if you are around),between the tiers and what is covering them,I need to put something different between the 2nd and top tier,other then plastic pillars,all the cakes are fruit cakes so there will be a bit of weight with them.

They were only styrofoam dummies 1 inch lesser than the upper tier. They are covered with ribbon like material--although I wish I had time to use something edible.

If you were to add the dowels, insert from the separator down so the dowel is the one that supports the cake sitting on top of the separator. Make sure you don't get styrofoam crumbs onto the cake.

Thanks for that Rylan,I will watch that that the weight is on the dowels,being a heavy cake the styro may collaspe a bit.

As long as the dowels are flat from the top of the styro separator, I don't think your styro will have any problems. I hope I made sense, hehe.
