Belly Cake Pricing--Is This Unreasonable?

Does $160.00 seem too much for a belly cake that serves 40 people? I mean based on other forum discussions pricing for fondant work starts at $4.00 per serving. Even without using the excel spreadsheet calculator made available on CC of ingredients plus supplies, etc is $160 an unreasonable amount?
I mean given the effort put in--including making fondant from scratch not to mention the time and effort baking, making and decorating everything...what would you charge?
That would all depend on the type of shop that you operate? If you are working from a shop that has been state inspected and approved then- yes; you are a business and should charge the going rate for your product. Most professional fondant cakes start at $4 and depending on the amount of detail work, prices could go as much as $8.
