I am making a shotgun shell cake. How do I get the correct color for the brass end of the shell?

Go to youtube and do a search for tonedna, she has done a great video showing the metallic colors and how they look when done in different ways. It should get you the information you seek.

I made the brass end for my shotgun shells with two coats of Americolor gold airbrush color, painted on with a paint brush. It looked as real as the real shotgun shell I was using as a model.

I USE A WARM-BROWN WITH YELLOW TO GET THE BRASS COLOR, WHEN THAT IS DONE, I USE OLDGOLD LUSTER DUST AND SPRAY IT ON THE CAKE.
