Hi everyone! I am trying to find a good chocolate fondant recipe. The first recipe I tried not only fell apart but was a light brown color. I am looking for something where it looks like someone poured a chocolate bar over the cake.

Anyone have a recipe that won't fall apart and is a nice chocolate color? TIA!

if you are wanting something that looks like a poured chocolate bar.. i would suggest ganache instead of fondant. If fondant is what you want then go to the recipes and type in chocolate MMF. great recipe. HTH icon_smile.gif

I thought about using ganache but I have seen some beautiful cakes that are covered in fondant so I know it is possible and now I am determined to figure it out! I was searching under chocolate fondant so that may have been my problem. I'll try chocolate mmf. Thanks.

I just used the google search (as suggested in another thread) "cake central chocolate mmf" and found exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. I just wasn't searching with the right words!
