I am making a castle cake for Saturday and I made gumpaste turrets which I wanted to cover in sugar sparkles. I was going to use icing on them but I am afraid it will soften the gumpaste. Is there a better way? Perhaps piping gel?
Thanks

Hi, you might want to paint on gum glue. I used it to add sugar crystals to some gum paste crowns and it worked wonderfully. HTH

I added some sugar crystals to some stamens for Callalillies, and I just wet the gumpaste a bit then rolled it in the sugar. Worked just fine!

Either gum glue or piping gel will work perfect just paint it on where you want the sparkles then roll it in them, then your done!
