I was wondering if you can cover a cake with modeling chocolate like you do with fondant. If so how much does it take to cover a 9" cake? How much chocolate and syrup does it take to make that much? Thanks

I KNOW I saw a thread on here the other day where a CC'r mentioned that she covered most of her cakes in modeling chocolate. Of course I can't remember for the life of me where I saw it....I looked at her pics too and they looked great. I am not sure how much you would need to cover a 9" cake but I the last time I used it I had to roll it out and it was really easy to work with. I am actually going to try it the next time I make a cake. I will try and find that thread, but I really can't remember where I saw it.. Hope that helps a little bit! Here is a link for the recipes I use if you need them...
