I bought a PVC pipe piece to use to use as a rolling pin a while back and it's a good length etc but i noticed every time i use it i end up with air pockets appearing in my fondant as i am rolling with it that i don't usually get when using my wooden rolling pin so i end up swapping back to that.

Has anyone else had this problem when using a pvc pipe? any suggestions as to why it does that?
