I am doing cupcakes for a birthday party on Saturday and the client wants gold dragees on them. What is the deal with dragees? Are they edible or not and what exactly are they made of? Should I give information to the clients regarding them? HELP!!

My daughter loves eating the silver dragees I've used on a couple of cakes (have to be careful, or she'd pick them off the cake!!!), and she hasn't suffered for it! I guess it would depend on the dragee, put to my understanding they are indeed edible. Just have to be careful of the bigger ones, because they can be hard on the teeth...
