If I fill a cake with whipped chocolate ganache, does it have to be refrigerated?

Or alternatively, can anybody recommend a great recipe for a chocolate filling (not buttercream) that doesn't need to be refrigerated?

Whipped ganache does not need to be refrigerated.I use it all the time.
